About the role
Build and scale the core NYLOS platform — the engine behind HR & Payroll, Finance, Inventory and every other module Ethiopian enterprises rely on every day.
What you'll do
- Design, build and own end-to-end features across the NYLOS stack — APIs, services, data model and UI.
- Collaborate with product and module leads to translate Ethiopian business workflows into clean, testable code.
- Lead architecture conversations on multi-tenant performance, audit trails and reporting at scale.
- Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing and design discussions.
- Maintain a high quality bar — clear code, sensible tests, careful migrations.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web applications, ideally in a SaaS or enterprise context.
- Strong with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
- Comfortable across the stack — relational databases, REST/RPC APIs, background jobs, caching.
- Solid grasp of authentication, authorization and audit-grade logging.
- Clear written communication and a bias toward shipping working software.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP, accounting or HR/payroll domains.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian tax and labor compliance.
- Open-source contributions or a public portfolio.
